In terms of sound design, two films stand out to me as providing a rather incredible audio experience: Heat, and Pirates of the Carribean. The sound designer for both films, along with T2, the Patriot, Blade, Terminator 2, True Lies, the Abyss, and other massive films is the same guy: Lee Orloff.

However, getting information about this guy has been a gigantic PITA. I've search for hours, and all I can find is one article about the patriot he wrote, and a bunch of academy award information. Nothing about where he's from, where he went to school, how he got started, his website, his contact info, a picture, zero, nada, zilch, NOTHING.

Anybody have any tips on finding out some more information on this guy?
