I hate to feel like a wasting person. I know that this battery that's dead from my powerbook can be recycled, but is there anything I can do with my old power adapter? The wire broke, and that's why it doesn't work any more.
Is there anything I can do with this thing? or does it just go to the garbage?

strip the copper out; sell that to the scrap people. with the removed plastic covering the copper you can recycle. check the number on it to make sure you local community takes that kind of plastic.

That´s just so sad. We´re just dumping stuff out like crazy. I have a couple of old cell phones that I wanted to try and recycle, but the atts and cingulars etc... just told me that they could recycle SOME of the battery parts, and the rest of the phone was just dead old trash.

I was always told to not waste anything, because some family in the third world would be happy if they had it, and that they could live off it for 6 months.
Oh, wait, nevermind...
