I know there is a massive MacNN population in the area, so it is worth asking this question here:

My dad is coming to this country for a proffessional conference and I will meet him for the weekend in Fort Lauderdale. We are definitely going to Hooters, and we don't need to go to any computer store, but what else is worth sightseeing in the area if we only have 2 days to hang out?

Tokyo Sushi is kind of a dive, but it has the best sushi around, if you're into such things.

There was a Hooters in Las Olas Riverfront, but it's closed now.(I don't know of any other Hooters IN Ft. Lauderdale) In fact, don't venture to "Riverfront" at all. It's in a transitional phase and not worth visiting..

DO go to Las Olas Boulevard. Lots of nice restaurants, shops, a few bars. Sushi Rock is the place for sushi if you're in that area. It's on Las Olas.(Sister restaurant of the one on South Beach)

Hit up the beach perhaps, again, off Las Olas.

Ft. Lauderdale Museum of Art - The Museum of Art, Fort Lauderdale, Florida (This is off Las Olas as well)

Broward Center for the Performing Arts - Broward Center for the Performing Arts

Maybe I'll think of something else.

If you have any particular style of dining you'd like to do, I can point you in the perfect direction. IM me or PM me.

I forgot, there's a Hooters at Beach Place, on Ft. Laud Beach. Errmm, there's also a Hooters at the Hard Rock Casino. That's worth visiting too, even though it's not in Ft. Laud (about 10 min. away)

Thanks for the suggestions. I would PM you now, IE, but I have to go this very moment. Wish me good father-son times.

Maybe we will go to CC to get a Slingbox so I can watch TV from the homeland
