Can anyone recommend a good Challenge/Response service that is Mac-friendly? It should be able to handle several POP addresses and be wonderful thrifty. It'd be great if it could import the Address Book. Thanks.

Challenge/Response services suck.

Get a good spam filter, and don't bother your senders.

You will lose more legitimate email than it is worth.

It doesn't really handle multiple addresses, but SpamArrest is pretty good and decently cheap.

Plus, consider one thing:

The challenge response system will generate an email for every spam mail coming in. It basically doubles all email volume. That's BS. All that bandwidth (ab)used for nothing.

I get a lot of false "challenge response" requests from spoffed sender addresses, which just used my email address.

IF you really want to use a challenge response system, it had to be a two step process:

1) Filter out spam, assigning a spam value
2) Challange & response only those emails with low spam value, not those that are obvisouly spam
