I'm new here but I see a lot of San Francisco talk and I thought maybe I can enter some info and if anyone has any tips they can add them here as well.

Of course I am going. This is my 6th expo including boston 04 and creative pro 03 in NY. SF is the best conference all in all and I've learned a little bit about it throughout the years...

You can register at http://macworldexpo.com too bad you missed the early bird reg, if you're just now getting around to it.

There are a few lists that list all of the parties going on at Macworld. The best way to promote these events is to blog them but anyway here are three places to look...
Upcoming.org: Home
Ilene's Party list
Macguys.com

I have posted some exceptional hotel specials here

You can apply for your free exhibit hall passes with codes found here

There's a list for first time mac visitors here
and another one that is a little outdated that I reprinted here

If you have any quesitons or need any advice I will try to help out or you can just send me an email to macworld@dailytechtalk.com Of note, I'm not trying to be a mass plugger of DailyTechTalk i just put all of this stuff on one page as a reference for anyone. None of it is self promotional i swear.

Looks like decent info.

Sounds like decent info, but, erm…where is all this San Francisco talk going on?

I kinda new this would happen but i dont have any ads. and I'm not directing you to my main page its just a personal blog. I love to go to SF every year! i write about it in a blog style and take pix and everything! I even rent out clubs and stuff just for mac users to hang out and I don't charge anything.

I do it for the community and that's all. I hate it when I try to reach out to spread the word about a party or a listing or a hotel special rate and everyone shoos it down. "Welcome to the community" i guess.

Well, I don't know, I didn't click through.

Unfortunately, we had tons of people recently that were newly registered here at 'NN, and their first post is promoting some website.

Your intentions might be good, I give you that. It still looks fishy.

Thanks for at least leaving my intentions open for now. I have been trolling here for a long time and always like meeting new people very year at macworld. It always difficult to get the word out. I've not registered in fear that I would e addicted to this place. Well here I am, let's see how it goes.

but anyway, who is going to macworld?

Dude, you don't have advertising now, but your top blog entry is about advertising during MacWorld. You may not have ads now, but it doesn't look like that's going to last for long. Sounds like you're just boosting your page views to get better ad rates.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but stating that you "have no ads" but then have an entire advertising section sounds a bit sketchy.

i dont want to start a fight but to state my case. I have put those up every year , everytime I go to Macworld and yar after year no one takes them. I put an add at the top for friends of mine like the dude over at fastforwardsw i just put his thing p there for filler. do you have a site? I'll put your banner up there too. I wish I had ads but i gave up a long time ago. Maye I should not even try to post her. some people just dont like new users.
