I had a kid act up in my dorm at a church camp in central LA. He was causing a lot of trouble and started swearing at the other counselors, so I had a few counselors hold him down on his bunk while I duct taped his legs, arms, hands, and feed down. Then I put a piece of duct tape across his mouth and told him this was the adult version of "time out." I left him like that for about 15 minutes, then I started feeling guilty.
He stopped swearing at everyone and causing trouble from that point forward. He loves me to death to this day. Don't know why.
