First we had the reality craze, now the gameshow craze. We have 2 new shows with washed up hosts, Bob Saget on 1 vs 100 and Howie Mandel on deal or no deal and soon Identity with Penn Gillete. Enough already.

There's some acceptably hot chicks waving their hands over the goodies on The Price Is Right, so I'll let 'em off.

At least they're honest as to what it actually is. All that the "reality" television fad was to begin with was a bunch of game shows wrapped up with another (misleading) name.

Yeah as I recall (from school, not age), the whole gameshow "craze" was the biggest in the 50s.
Anyone here seen the movie "Twenty-One"?

I don't understand the appeal of Deal or No Deal. There is no skill involved at all. You might as well call the show... "Let's Flip a Coin!".
1 vs. 100 is lame, but the concept is at least interesting.
We had a mini rush of game shows about 5 years ago, with Who want to be a mazillionare, Weakest Link, Greed, etc...
These things come and go.

Game shows are infinitely more interesting than reality shows, so I welcome all these new shows.
