Hey guys just thought I'd post and let you know that because of those pills I've taken that come to my email inbox and help from my girlfriend. I decided to go from a 14 incher to a 20 inch iMac. I will buy shortly after MacWorld (just in case there is a updated one with price drop) SO guys....bigger really is better....and that's what she said! (Michael Scott)

*edit* I had a 14 inch iBook not iMac.

When money goes out the door, an iMac comes innuendo.

would you guys recommend getting a 20" screen to go with it? Since I'll be doing graphic/web design with it?

Also...nevermind...maybe some young bucks in here.

your font codes in your sig are messed up. Unless it's deliberate, in which case your sig is over 4 lines of text.

If you are wiggling it you are doing it all wrong! You need to carefully bend it, at the hinges of course.

Jesus Lord Almighty!

What the hell did they do, key your iMac?!

Maybe you should sell them (the kids) and buy yourself a brand new 24" .

i bought it like this, someone's child cut it up with a stanleyknife, to impress someone over ichat. the sliced screen still displays (!) though i connected it to an external 20" tft. together with a screenhack i can have dualdisplay.

I'm really happy with it. I even have an extra year of Apple warranty

don't mind the "table", i used an old securitydoor for extra space

dual screenhack url, works also with ibooks

Did you ever get a quote on getting that repaired? I may be mistaken, but on the iMacs I think the frontmost screen is part of the front bezel and separate from the actual LCD panel, so you may be able to get just the bezel replaced (not so cheap labor-wise, but a much cheaper part than the LCD) if you wanted to get it fixed.

Edit: Sorry, looking at a picture of just the bezel, I think I'm wrong. The LCD is mounted directly inside the bezel.

"I start fires!"

though i have no plans replacing the internal screen, it works fine like this

perfect reason why we need more birth control.....or kid control....why do parents let their kids do whatever these days? I mean come one...discipline them! By three you won't anything to worry about then. If you do it right. Kids need to learn to respect the elders rather than the adults respect the kid!

Seriously...we just got off dial up and moved to dsl. It is a vast improvement. The only reason we got it was because of Katrina...haha It destroyed all the phone lines...so they put fibers in the ground.
