Yay - now the US only needs one more victory to match Iceland.

The finals haven't been on TV here yet, nice one for him. I'm wondering what happened to Mariusz Pudzianowski, the Polish guy who's won it for the last 3 or 4 years, because he won the qualifying tournaments pretty easily from the ones I've seen.

Phil Pfister is a freak. A bull. He just manhandled the rest of the competitors in the shear strength events. He made Mariusz look like a boy in the last four events.

Yeah, I watched the final lastnight. Pfister was impressive, very impressive. The guy is a fireman, he must walk up to the buildings, scream, and scare the fires out .

The order of the competitors in each round was probably changed for TV though, because in the last 5 rounds that Pfister won, he was shown going last, and for a lot of the rounds, the lower order people on points were skipped to show Pudsy, Pfister and anyone else who got good points.

I saw all the heats, I can't believe Mariusz got beaten, he flew through all the heats as usual. I thought Pope looked good in that heat too, he took a few events from Mariusz. I am so gutted I missed the final. Don't suppose anyone has a copy?!. I am hoping channel 5 in uk will do a repeat of the final, but I can't be sure.
