its amusing because they totally contradict each other and they're from the same website.
I thought that was fairly obvious.

the worst thing is their "news survey specialist" contributed to both reports.

They're both based on the same poll. The first reports on two aspects of the poll — that Americans feel our political state is not very good, but their quality of life is OK — while the other story just focuses on the first part.

My favorite "revelation":

"In 2007 … 25 percent anticipate the second coming of Jesus Christ."
