I had a dental appointment today so I just took the day off and built myself a new speaker box. I made some preliminary drawings a while back:

And the final design is identical to that minus the base plate, which I designed without actually looking under the carpet in my trunk. So here's what I did:

(Notice the coating on the garage floor for those that are interested)
I'll pick up some carpet from eBay eventually and finish it all off.

I'm really happy with it. It sounds even better than before, since I actually have the right sized box for the sub.

how long did all the project take (including the 3D modeling)?
I can see that you dedicated a lot of your time for this!

I threw the model of the box together while my sister was watching, so that was less than a half hour or so. I modeled the sub and the amp later, and those were a tad more time consuming. Amongst other things I think I spent a few hours on them. I hadn't used Inventor in a while so I had to kind of relearn things.
I went up to the lumberyard around 9ish to get the wood, glue and screws. I worked up until my dentist appointment at one, then took a break due to my numb mouth and washed my car. I got back to work around 2:30ish and finished everything off around 4 or so, after I had to redo a couple things.
