Yeah, the FM tuner is a dealbreaker. The iPhone sucks now. It's so January 8th.

Yeah, I read it in there. You know many people have said the iPod is crap because it doesn't have a tuner???

Same here. There's about 10, but 8 play the same music all the time. Even the only country station here is Top 20 crap. Drives me crazy.

Actually... why hasn't anybody made a 'cell phone' like device that just works with wifi yet? Like, as long as you're near a wireless router, it would function as a phone. Seems to me that would kill the iphone, as you wouldn't need service contracts.

Aren't there Skype phones that do this?

No, it wouldn't. No handover for WLAN, so if you are travelling and using it at the same time, you are hosed.

But if you arne't traveling... if you're just in a hotel room with wifi... or you're at home with wifi... or you're at work with wifi....

BOOM! No airtime.

You'd really only need the 'cell' function when you were in the country, or in the car moving fast.

the battery lasts longer, that's a plus.
Is that because the screen is smaller?
the iPhone looks better.

The South Koreans are slaves to advertising, and the influence of celebrities. It took the iPod a while to catch on there, because people thought things like iRiver were a lot cooler. I have a feeling the iPhone will also take a long time to catch on. Especially in the home of some of the biggest names in the industry, namely, LG and Samsung. (lots of Korean pride in their products too)

Well, that and that they use CDMA, and it's probably going to be a long time, if ever, that Apple will release a CDMA version of iPhone. It'll probably be an iTunes music store strategy, conquer the US, then the world.

So, moving slow in the car would mean WLAN is fine ?
How slow ? 0.001 mp/h ?

Riding a turtle, you mean ?

2,000 songs in 4 MB of space? Apple certainly does have a long way to go.

In all honesty over the next year this phone could easily out sell the iPhone. The iPhone is new to the market and has no traction yet. Sure a lot of people will buy it, but there's no promise of sales. The iPhone will take a while to gain traction.
