Just wanting to let you fine people know that this Friday Evening™ I will be doing nothing exciting.

I have a few minor plans, though nothing truly exciting or worldly.

I need to get some clients portraits ordered.

Play with the kids.

Bathe and put the kids to bed.

Go out to the garage and plan some storage options.

Catch up on this weeks TiVo recordings.

Read Beowulf.

Sleep.

You wanna know the kicker? There's nothing else i really rather be doing. I love my life.

Well, I'd just gone to sleep. But Bill and Ted decided that this was an incorrect decision and thus proceeded to wake me up with a bit of face-clawing. I'm currently "typing with right, belly rubbing with left".

Drink, play some NWN, perhaps eat, watch a movie, drink. Rinse and repeat.
I like my water with hops, malt, hops, yeast, and hops.

I had supper with some friends, played some PS2, and now I might go over and help a friend install OS X on his PC. We'll see what happens.

Working from 6-midnight, then going to sleep so I can be back at work tomorrow morning at 9. Blegh...

I went out with buddies from work, got trashed on shots of some kind of vodka, drank more Guinness, then went out with my girl and polished off a bottle of fine Greek wine. I am wasted and exhausted. ugh. Whoo hoooo!

I have almost the exact same plans.

Dinner with family.

Play with kids.

Give one of them a bath.

Put all three to bed.

Watch Grey's Anatomy on Tivo.

Sleep.

What a perfect evening.

got done with some pizza, pop and a movie. spent some quality time with the kitten (not so much any more really) and now setting up some video captures on my pinnacle rig while i catch a few hours sleep so they are set to master onto DVDs in the morning.

might as well let those CPU cycles work while i sleep.

Turns out I'm going to see Deja Vu in a little while. In the meantime I've beat a few levels of Devil May Cry 3. Not a bad game.

Just got back from a hard day of snowboarding at Marmot Basin, Jasper. Tons of powder, almost no one on the mountain, but unfortunately my brand-new race board broke an edge on the back heel and started to delam. Damn, gotta send it back tomorrow!

my ideal friday night that hasn't happened in a long time:

Eat Illiano's Pizza (the best NY style around me) with my family

Go get coffee with some intelligent friends who have something to talk about

Come back to my house and chat in my room, maybe listening to "Dry Drunk Emperor" by TV on the Radio and then talking about the lyrics.

Maybe get some helpful feedback on one of my video projects instead of the "Cool Adam, Good Job" deal....

Then after people leave, jam on the synth and go to freaking bed.

Man I wish my friends did stuff other than get wasted and talk about football 24/7

We had initially planned to visit a couple of friends out of town but they were tired, so we postponed that to tomorrow (saturday). Instead, I and a few friends went to the Casino. There was a free show that was surprisingly good. They did covers of very good old songs, and they were using a MacBook on stage. We drank a few drinks there, and we moved on to play on the slot machines. I won 15$

At about 3 am, we went to a new Deli on the south shore outskirt, which was located close to a popular club, so there were many drunk customers which entertained us while we ate. The food was excellent, and we saw some pretty ladies with some unforgettable.. attributes One of the drunk patrons shouted loudly "Wow, check that rack!!" when he saw her ... and that was his classiest action of the evening

Pretty fun night in summary

Hey, did you hear that they have vegetarian Hot Pockets now?

For those who don't eat meat…but still would like diarrhea.

We went out to a Thai restaurant with another couple, then on to the Gladstone Hotel - they had an open house to celebrate their first year since the Hotel had reopened. All the rooms are open and as each one has been designed by a different artist it's like a gallery. Listened to some weird but good life music in the bar, had a beer. Bumped into some other friends who were sitting in an Ethiopian restaurant next door and decided to move on to a bar around the corner where a friend of a friend was dj-ing that night. On arrival found that the place was still empty at midnight and decided to call it an evening. Much to do today.
