'Mach c'? Scientists observe sound traveling faster than the speed of light

For the first time, scientists have experimentally demonstrated that sound pulses can travel at velocities faster than the speed of light, c. William Robertson’s team from Middle Tennessee State University also showed that the group velocity of sound waves can become infinite, and even negative.
I would think that there is a limit to how far it could travel though. Nontheless, this is an interesting discovery.

Nothing travels faster than the speed of light with the possible exception of bad news, which obeys its own special laws.

Group velocity is not useful.

And you can do the same thing with the group velocity of light.

Well, anyone who's ever been to a Motorhead gig could have told them that.

What if he created a clone of himself ordered to be superior in running skill?

Considering "sound" is nothing more than a compression (and expansion) wave of molecules without any actual net displacement, one could say sound does not travel at all.
