My wife's dad is a really nice man, he play piano any just love jazz. This Xmas i gave an 30GB iPod to my girlfriend and he was SO impress with it that he just called to tell me that he bought a MacBook Pro!!! I've been trying to convince my family in law for years to dump theirs PCs and switch to Mac. My efforts are finally paying off. He was mostly impress with our Airtunes setup (here at home I have 2 Airport Express; one for the internet and the printer and for for my multi-zones Integra receiver). so we basically stream music from our laptops from anywhere around the house and it plays in all the speakers

I feel a bit silly to actually post an anecdotal thing like this but I'm really happy! (for him of course)

I guest it's a small exemple of the Halo effect. He even confess that he love his ne MBP so much that now he wants an Airport Express (for Airtunes), an 30gb iPod, and next year an 20" iMac for his office! He's really passionnate about it; it's almost like a revelation for him!

I should get a discount on my next MBP for helping Apple. Now I have to convince my wife's sisters to switch...

Yeah, because with only 3.7 million people in the area, everyone in Montréal is bound to know everyone else.

...Wait, wait. You have a wife and a girlfriend? And your father-in-law knows about the girlfriend?

You're livin' the dream, man...livin' the dream.

very funny. I'm not sure having 2 girlfriend is the dream. I know a guy who did it, of course without them knowing. He always had to lie and create credible lies to handle the two. At some point he even had 3 girlfriend!!! He was comming to work so tired it was not even funny, not necessarily because he had sex all night, but because he had to go out with one in the evenig then say he had to see a client anf go off to see another one, and so on and so forth... The most suprising thing is that he would complain to me that the situation was driving him nut be he could'nt tell any of the gils for fear of their reaction!!! What a loser!
Obviouly they all found out at some point and now everybody knows how he his with girls in the film bizz in Montreal (He's a producer so everybody know him)

That's French Canadians for you.

I read about her in some threads. She seem very pissed off about a lot of issues. Never had the privilege to exchange with her...

I have convinced enough to feel like I have made a difference. A few friends, as well as my father, but not my father in-law, Kudos to you, Deekat.
