So i'm flipping through comcast tonight, just found a new HD channel called VS. kinda cool shows lots of sports and tonight they happen to be running Rocky IV. I couldn't help but stop. I love this movie, not sure why. Maybe it just brings back memories of my childhood, I even love the cheesey soundtrack. Who else is with me?

Rocky IV is my most favorite Rocky movie. I absolutely love it and will always watch at least some if not most of it when it comes on TV from time to time. The fight scene and the training scenes are incredible.

Is that the one where nobody thinks he can win and it seems like he's washed up but then he trains really hard and makes it?

Nope, he is pretty strong the whole way through in this one.

Does anyone think the Russian reminds them of Iceman from Top Gun?

Sort of. But you miss the point. He trains really hard IN A MONTAGE filmed in Jackson Hole, WY then makes it.
"Even Rocky had a montage!"
Rocky IV is the best one aside from the first, which is my favorite just because it was the first I saw.
Drago must break you!

When I was young, Rocky IV was my absolute favorite. The scenery in "Russia" was amazing, but I always got angry when Apollo bit the dust. I must've asked my dad 100 times, "But why didn't the big Russian get arrested for killing Apollo?" The first two Rocky movies I bought on DVD were I and IV.

I am waiting for Rocky Balboa on DVD. I'm sure there will be a new box set.

We just watched them all again. It's impressive they are essentially clean movies (except the fighting).

Good thing the fighting isn't the central theme in the movies.
