Inside Bay Area - If you thought you had a bad day at work ...
FREMONT — Who says lightning never strikes twice?
A 52-year-old Domino's Pizza deliveryman was the victim of two robberies during the same shift last weekend, police said.
The man was beaten and robbed of three pizzas about 10 p.m. Friday, and then two hours later lost his tip money when the restaurant where he works was held up by two armed men, Sgt. Chris Mazzone said Monday.
The first robbery occurred after the man was summoned to a home on White Birch Terrace by someone who apparently ordered the pizzas, the sergeant said.
When the deliveryman arrived, at least two teenage boys approached him from behind and punched him several times in the face before fleeing with the food, Mazzone said.
Police traced the phone number used to order the pizzas back to a home on Princeton Terrace. The residents had ordered food from Domino's in the past so the business had their information on file, Mazzone said.
Authorities went to investigate, questioning three teenage boys who were there visiting a friend. After initially denying involvement, one of the teens confessed to the crime and led police to the trash container where they had placed the empty boxes after they ate the food, the sergeant said.
Each was arrested on suspicion of robbery and conspiracy and were taken to Juvenile Hall near San Leandro, Mazzone said.
A little more than two hours later, the deliveryman — with two black eyes suffered in the first incident —
again became a robbery victim when, about 12:30 a.m. Saturday, the restaurant where he works was robbed at gunpoint, the sergeant said.
The victim and two employees were in the business, on Fremont Boulevard across the street from Washington High School, preparing to leave for the night when two gunmen came in and demanded cash, Mazzone said.
One of the men pointed a handgun at a clerk and pulled the trigger twice, but it didn't fire, leading police to believe it may have been a replica.
The robbers then stole money from the register and took the tip money that the deliveryman had collected that evening, the sergeant said.
Both men — who were at large on Monday — then fled through the parking lot.
They were described as black and in their late teens or early 20s. One of them was about 6 feet tall, and the other about 5 feet, 6 inches. Both were last seen wearing dark-colored hooded sweat shirts with either black or blue jeans.

Domino's is quite possibly the worst pizza out there. I wouldn't even eat it if it was free.

It's not saying much, but it's better than whatever Pizza Hut tries to pawn off on their customers.
It should be illegal for them to even have the word pizza in their name. Nothing they have even closely resembles or taste like what real pizza taste like.

Hmmm. I like Domino's. I never liked Pizza Hut until recently. The local Pizza Hut is doing something different because they taste pretty good.
