I have been using an iPod+Nike since Christmas and I love it, but for the past few days, the woman who gives me the time/status updates has been yelling at me! When I have the volume set appropriately to listen to music, she is really loud. I checked the max volume in the settings and put it all the way up. I also tried it with and without the sound check feature.

Any ideas?

Good heavens, boy. Do you realize no one has ever attempted to do that -- and survived?

I also tried turning down the Max Volume setting. The problem is that the woman is significantly louder than the music. My thinking in turning up the Max Volume setting was that it may only be effecting the music volume and not the woman's volume, thus making her significantly louder than the music when this setting is not at its maximum. Turns out it didn't make any difference which way I moved that setting. I ended up doing a reset which solved the problem.

This iPod thing is getting way out of hand. Next thing you know, the only thing Jobs will be pitching at MacWorld Expo is iPod and consumor products.
