I am about to re-sign up with T-Mobile for a year and I am eligible for a max discount upgrade on a phone. I would like anyones opinion on what phones are the most mac compatible meaning, do they sync at all with a mac, how are they with isync, ical, and the address book? I am currently looking at two Samsung phones, one is the Trace and the other is its slider phone brother that is silver. The reps at T-Mobile say this is my best bet for a good phone, but they didn't have any knowledge about the syncability with a mac. Anyone have any recommendations on any of the available phones for T-Mobile, or anything that is already unlocked(Sony Ericsson's) Any information is welcome, thanks for your time.

Unfortunately, Samsung is not listed on Apple's supported devices page:

Apple - Mac OS X - iSync - Devices

A little Googling around seems to indicate that Samsungs are indeed not compatible with iSync.

Ticking sound coming from a .pkg package? Don't let the .bom go off! Inspect it first with Pacifist. Macworld - five mice!

i was going to say as well that I am leaning towards the Samsung T-629 slider phone because I have heard the best reviews about this phone, and for the price ($99), its the best bang for the buck it seems. SE 790/800i would be nice, but the price comes in around $360 for that one, might as well start saving up for the iphone and get the samsung t-629 I am thinking

bang for the buck goes to SHlT when it doesn't work with your Mac! Missing Sync or whatever may help.

I can say one thing. My crappy razr, with iSync and BluePhoneElite is just fantastic.
