Hey guys,

I am going to going to the Fire Academy in SC soon. I need some more endurance type of workouts. Lately I climbed 1800 steps with a 20 lb weight vest every other day along with running 1 mile and then walking a mile without the vest. I will do push-ups on the off days to kind of keep the upper body good. I don't need to get big but just need to stay in a fit position. For all you that work out what do you recommend me to do. I'll basically doing regular firefighter work and need as much cardio and anaerobically workouts possible. I`ve used google but it doesnt help much.

Just get out and run. Or if you want a more specific intense workout here are a few ideas if you have access to a track.

Yesterday I ran 10 x 400 meters average 75 seconds per 400, 60 seconds recovery
If you're in good shape try this: 20x400 mtrs. ave 80 seconds, 40 seconds recovery.

Have fun!

Not bad for 400 repeats. I'm guessing you could bust a 5 minute mile pretty easily.
