Reminds me of the "Think Different" campaign. I guess if Apple wanted to now, they can call it "Hello."

I'm not very impressed, but it's fitting for the Oscars indeed. It was obviously made before the "Cisco/Apple" negotiations were settled, as there is absolutely no mention of the iPhone by name.

One of the best ads from Apple since the Think Different campaign imo..... simple, classic.

Like it or loathe it, it wasn't intended for us nerds here. The iPhone is a consumer product and its marketing is likely to be aimed at a much wider audience.

In that sense, the ad was well done, attention getting and, well, just brilliant.

So was "Hello" their alternative name if they lost the lawsuit with Cingular? Maybe this would have been a better name than iPhone. The iNaming scheme is getting old.

I'm surprised they didn't have Justin Long's character, Brandon, saying "Hello?" on his Interstellar Vox.

It was a fantastic ad for the Oscars. I'm not sure about other situations.

I also really wanted to see the HAL 9000 saying hello...

It shows the evolution of the phone over time. Obviously it needs to end at July 2007 with the iPhone and not something even more advanced in the future.

Not sure if I liked the end. The font seemed very un-apple.

With some loud music + a friend to chat nearby you can get alot done. - but jezz, I'd avoid it if I had the choice---- If only real people came with Alpha Channels.......:)

Yeah I chuckled out loud when I saw both Ron Burgundy and The Dude flash by in that montage.
