UK NNers, don't be filling your petrol tanks at any supermarket forecourt for the next couple of weeks or you'll kill your engine. Brand name standalones (BP, Esso) seem OK.

YOW!!! "Including ethanol in petrol is not really contaminating it, but there has to be a clear warning to people who buy petrol as to exactly what is in it." You bet your asterisk you need to warn people! A petrol engine that's not built for ethanol will do some really bad things with more than just a tiny bit of ethanol in the fuel-and some components which resist petrol are damaged by ethanol!

Dibs on the pitchfork and torch concession! Someone is going to be in BAD trouble!

I never fill up my car with "petrol-water" from the super markets anyway. There is a reason it is cheaper.

Optimax (now V-Power) for the win!

4,000+ problems reported so far. I reckon this'll get into the tens of thousands before it's done.

I have a feeling every man and his dog will be "claiming" that the offending petrol has effected their vehicle in the hope that they may get some compensation.
