hahaha.... I'm thinking of going back to the flea market to get a 2nd HD and floppy drive, one question tho: the guy at the flea market told me that DOS 6.22 would only see up to a 512 MB HD, is this true? Can a partition a bigger HD so it works?

Looking at that pic is so weird. Windows 3.11 is all my school used for several years when I was young (and a few Commodore 64s tucked away in an old library room). It's so ugly...

the PC was $20, the monitor was 15 and the keyboard was 5 and the non-working mouse was 5, so I guess that it was $45 total

640K of RAM? Looks like someone hasn't loaded himem.sys/EMM386.

I would check that again while you're running Windows 3.1. ;-)

$20? You got taken to town. Ouch.

Here's what I got for $43:
1 GHz PIII
512MB of RAM
20GB HD
USB, ethernet, etc.
19" Flat CRT
Harmon Kardon speakers
Microsoft optical USB mouse
PS/2 Keyboard

Works great with XP and Office 2003, which is all it needs to do.

It isn't that, it is just a bad camera, but it is still annoying.

If you wanted to be truly old school, you'd ditch that IDE drive and toss in an MFM. Not many people know this, but there were two versions of Windows 3.11 . . . One for Workgroups, and one that was just 3.11. WFW was the most popular though. I miss the good ol' DOS days. . .

Wow - that's old school.
The limit for Fat16 is 2GB (Fdisk should tell you - via a warning message). So as long as the Bios supports it, you should be fine. I do remember having a "driver" that I needed to install when drives started to get really big, but I forgot what that size was.
