Ive been developing on the Mac for most of undergraduate and graduate career (outside of university), at university, it's been UNIX and some .Net.

As much as i'd liek to find a job as a Mac developer on Mac OSX, there just seems to be too few jobs around. So ive decided to get onto the "Visual Studio .Net" bandwagon as thats what almost every corporation uses these days.

Can anyone recommed a good book on the basics ?

Cheers

It really depends on your level. A book like Essential .Net by Don Box really nails the details of .Net, but is over the head of a lot of people.

It also depends on what type of programming you're going to do - web/win? database?
