I guess I'm not a car person. Looks like a Honda to me.

Just three issues IMO.. The rear bumper looks too busy. I like the side view mirrors from the E92 more and finally, the hood has been done quite well, but it's still a little busy, I wish they could've avoided those intake vents but i suppose the engine's gonna need it. Other than that, it's going to be a frikkin beast!

Aston Martin needs to keep getting credit for being about half a decade ahead of the design curve.

I'm surprised - that's not nearly as bad as it could have been (given BM's recent looks problems).

I really hope they lose the hood bump and air vents on the hood. Looks really tacky and ricey. And the tailpipes need to be moved more to the side, there's something seriously wrong with the backside proportions/look. Can't really put my finger on it.

All in all not bad. The 3-series coupe is the only BMW I really like from the current lineup. And I used to be a huge BMW nut. Don't get me wrong, they're great cars but why oh why are they so ugly these days.

At first I didn't notice the carbon-fiber roof. I'd like to see some high up shots since I don't like the carbon-fiber 'pattern'.

Other than that, it's really nice.

It's better looking than most new BMWs, but I still don't like it all that much.

I'm sure that car itself is gonna be balls-deep awesome, but the design lately.....meh.

Is it just me, or is there lens flare added to the pink M3 above?

On topic, I think I this year's and the year before's design better than this new one. There's just something about it that doesn't seem like BMW. It is just a concept car though, so maybe it will change before production.

BMW Concepts like that are normally almost exactly the same as production models.

I am waiting for the estate/wagon version. It is about bloody time they are finally bringing out an M3 estate.

Should be nice and finally they will have something to directly compete with the RS4 and C** AMG (or maybe that is vis versa ).

I don't like the bulge in the bonnet much but it's more than likely there to make space for the engine and tested well in wind tunnel tests. The new M3 is lickable. Out of all the luxury cars I've driven, for the price Beemers have excellent weight distribution, power and handling. And you don't have to duck or hit your head to get inside.

Out of all the luxury cars I've driven, any new car is a total ripoff. It's all about mid to late 90s baby. That's when the good looking BMWs were made.

I agree. I had a '94 325iS with some mods (lowered to the ground, 17" chromes, sport tires, etc) and it tore up the road. Loved it. Paid $4500 for it. Deal of the century. Got stolen though.

Autocar Magazine here in the UK has confirmed with BMW that they will be offering the M3 in Coupe, Saloon and Estate versions.

Hoorah!

Mind you, I just had a look at an Audi S4 Avant yesterday so maybe that would tide me over until I got a nearly new M3 Estate in a couple of years.

The Audi's certainly have a better reputation for reliability than the C32 and yes, I will have an Audi warranty.

Agreed. I think the bottom of the BMW's rear bumper is too busy.

Yes, I agree. But fashion is fashion -- just pointing out how funny it is that we segment ourselves into these "gender appropriate" corners.

Normal people, which is why my sweaters/sweatshirts don't look out of date, even though the last time I really purchased clothes was in 1999-2000 or so. Crap like that handbag might be cool to a select few right now, but it'll be dated within 1 year. I feel the same way about that BMW, actually.

I'll agree with you about 'high fashion' like that. My neighbor from my freshman year was flunking out of the business college, but now he's started his own fashion label.

Pretty ridiculous, but his stuff has been worn by Jeff Scott Soto (lead singer of Journey), Tyshawn Bryant (model/actor), and Chrissy DePauw (musician). Whatever.

I agree. I really doubt that they will be able to sell it as long as they did the previous M3. The last M3 and M3s before it looked timeless.

Yep. All that crap is silly. I'm all for either timeless classic looks, or oddities (hence my car).
