My friend was laughing at me for the fact her C2D MacBook was as good/better than my lil ol' 12"PowerBook... but now I have 2.33GHz and 2GB of ram and 15 inches of screen real estate and her MacBook is teh sucks.

Having owned an 12" for the last year or so, the bigger screen/speakers and backlit keys are (not to mention the camera) amazing.

congrats on your purchase. just don't rub it in her face though. A computer can hurt you if rubbed against a body part

I had a 12" powerbook for two years before upgrading to a 15" PB mostly because I thought "bigger was better". The world was great until I touched a 12" powerbook again and missed it like no other. There's something about a computer that is 100% efficient in use of space and material that I missed about the 12". Small, powerful enough, sleek, sexy.

Glad you like it. I got a 15" PowerBook G4 today. 1.5 GHz, 1 Gb of RAM. It's much nicer than my 867 MHz 12" PowerBook G4. But I still like the tiny form factor of the 12".

I had a first generation 12" Powerbook and loved it. Although in the end it was just old, battered and underpowered I still miss it every time I see one in the wild. It was the most beautiful Powerbook ever made as far as I am concerned.

Nice purchase. I went from 12" iBook to 15" PowerBook a year and a half ago. When I first powered it on, I giggled like a little school girl.

I'm serious. I really, actually, truly giggled.
