how do these chinese companies get away with this, they even copied the packaging.

I saw the same type of thing happening in Vietnam this summer. Check out these old stype iPod and Nano rip offs.

I have a Sony AA Battery Recharger and Sony AA batteries. It's a fake Sony product made in China that I picked up in Dubai for my Logitech Bluetooth mouse. It works fine but the fake branding is there to bump up the price. In the Middle East, South Asia and China it is almost impossible for multi-national American, European or Japanese companies to sue because the process takes too long, the courts are rife with bribery and by the time anyone can be sued they have packed up the operation and moved on. Once the case is dropped they carry on where they left off and make the fake products again.
