I always wondered what the "T" stood for in Mr. T. (He doesn't spell out MISTER.)

Tooki?

1. Ted Koppel - Sincere and informed.

2. Mr. T - Sincere but less well informed.

3. Mister Rogers - Deceased.

Given that Ted Koppel is part of the media, his believability is suspect. He profits from good stories and news.

Yeah, Tooki always knew the truth and would have weighed in on this conundrum...

Ooooohhhh.... I forgot about Patrick Swayze and Steve Guttenberg, maybe we need a new thread that includes them?

Both Swayze and Guttenberg have been vocal opponents of the war.

He is old school.

He was schooled and hired and trained waaaay before the Networks' move to make profits from the news divisions. Once the evening news had to worry about ratings then they began to profit from how they hyped the news. That's one reason he was willing and able to host Nightline. It was on at 11:30pm and no one expected he (or ANY show in that time slot) would beat Johnny Carson in the ratings so dismal ratings wouldn't matter and Ted could maintain his integrity and ABC News could put out a purer news product without the hype the other news programs might have had to resort to in their ratings battles.

Ted has integrity.

Both Swayze and Guttenberg have been vocal opponents of the war.
And both are celebrities who can only benefit by aligning themselves with a large segment of people who are uninformed.

So, either Swayze and Guttenberg are uninformed or they are manipulative cynics (like the Democratic politicians who know that we have no alternative but to fight the forces who are committed to our downfall) and are sukking up to the anti-war segment to continue to remain big stars.
