Emma To Quit Potter?

Has the spell been broken on the set of Harry Potter?

Maybe, as one of the stars has reportedly refused to commit to the final two films in the series.

Emma Watson, who plays Harry's brainy schoolmate Hermione Granger, has refused to sign a contract to appear in films six and seven, the News Of The World reported on Sunday.

What's more, according to the report, the 16 year old has even rejected an offer to double her salary to earn £2million a film.

Rupert Grint, who plays Ron Weasley, told the paper: "Emma doesn't want to do it anymore. She's tired of being known as 'that girl from Harry Potter'.

But other reports state that although Emma has not signed her contract, producers at Warner Brothers are confident she'll be back.

A spokesperson for Warner Bros told BBC Newsround on Sunday: "We're extremely confident that Emma will be back for films six and seven."

The fifth film version of JK Rowling's children's series - Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix - is scheduled to hit cinemas in July.

Hermione had better make as much hay while the sun shines on this part of her life. There's cloudy skies ahead, Missy.

Hopefully we'll get to know her as that girl from Harry Potter that went topless afterward.

There you go again, thinking only of yourself!

You'd make a good redneck, but probably more 'pinkish' than red.

But contrary to the dogs in the cartoon who say that 'no one knows you're a dog on the internet,' you just confirmed your pedigree. In effect you let the cat out of the bag!

No, may as well practice thread integrity.

I could have sworn an article in the Sun the other day about someone stalking her said that she had already signed on to the last two movies.

Yep. The Sun Online - News: Potter Star's stalker terror

She'd be stupid to quit now. If she wants to be known for other things, she should do other things. Like star in Equus.

I agree with you. If she is a good actrees there is a point when we will not see her as Hermine

I think she's a wonderful actress. I hope she stays on for the last 2 Harry Potter films, but she does need to get into other parts.

she is already the chick from harry potter - may as well make your money - she is a good actress i'm sure she will do fine after the series is over -

BBC is reporting that the studio still believes she's going to sign back up for the last two.

She'd be stupid not to sign up for the final two movies. Actors are a dime a dozen. In 10 years she'll be a footnote just like so many others. She should ride this out and get all the cash she can.
