Unbelievable dog attack.

I'm not so sure that I buy the argument that pit bulls can be nice dogs.

This one was nice...then went crazy ripping a car apart to get at the people inside.

Unbelievable.

A former lady friend had a 16 year old son who loved his pet pit bull named "Baby." Baby was a sweet dog, but as well mannered as she always seemed to be, I NEVER EVER forgot for a second that she might go off as this dog did.

Also, as I have mentioned before, I ALWAYS wonder whether females are the targets of animal attacks because of their monthly cycles. An animal's sense of smell is much more sensitive than a human's. So many times the story goes like this.

Normally well behaved animal is trusted to be around or close to people, when suddenly the animal goes off and attacks a FEMALE.

I'm just sayin.

Jones said his department would push hard to have Diesel euthanized, although he has heard Davis may seek to get the dog back.

"This was very disturbing," Jones said. "I wouldn't feel comfortable returning this dog to the owner.
Yeah, not a good idea at all.

Very traumatic and sad story.

I question the responsibility of the owner. Where WAS the owner when this happened? Does he just let his dog out without a leash? If so, then he probably does nothing to train it, and probably treats the thing like ****, most likely abusing it. My dog is part staffordshire terrier, which is the 'show dog' of the pitbull family, and she doesn't have a mean bone in her body. She's never been the slightest bit agitated with ANYTHING. The only time she even growls is when there's a bug on the ceiling.

We have a pitbull named Tasha in an apartment downstairs, and that dog is incredible. It's never on a leash, and it's one of hte best behaved, most polite dogs I've ever seen, ever.

Reading stuff like this is sad, because honestly there are lots of dog attacks, but when it involves a pitbull, the media hypes it up.

I think it's more because when a pitbull attacks, the person is killed or serioulsy maimed, where other dogs don't inflict such damage at the same rate.

That's why he's gonna kill us. So we got to beat it. Yeah. Before he let's loose the marmosets on us."

I live in central Indiana, and I have seen more than one news story about some redneck family that raises dobermans, german shepherds, or pitbulls in order to make them as aggressive as possible, then one day their evil little dog injures their two-year-old son or something. It's really sick.

Got stats for that? From what I've read it seems that other dogs cause a lot more injuries per year, even goldens and shepards.
