I'm trying to find a way to get a large satellite image jpg of a local park. I found only one program on the internet that can download, and join google satellite images into one single file. Its a windows app, which sucks, but I only need to use it once so I could get by. The bigger issue is that its a demo and they want $25 for it. Seems like a lot of cash for something you'll only be using once. Anyone know of any other free ways I can do this? Preferably that will work on a Mac. And NO please don't say "command-shift-3"!!!

I just got me a 30" display, I can make a big screen shot and email it to you.

even with a 30" display, i'm talking about one notch away from full zoom, in a area of about 6 square miles.

Look in the Activity Window in Safari and try to figure out which files are the ones you want. Double-click them to open them in a new window and save them from there. You'll still have to assemble in Photoshop.

Run a google search; perhaps try the google maps group. There are definitely tools out there for doing what you want (usually perl scripts). When google maps was introduced, the satellite images were not watermarked, so these tools were even more useful.

The 4 o'clock train will be a bus.
It will depart at 20 minutes to 5.
