Well, I never saw the movie, but I saw a preview, and the game was definately Shadow of the Collossus. Not sure about the console though, but shadow of the collossus is for PS2.

What was sitting on his table - whether it was supposed to be rigged as looking like a mega-console or not - was an amplifier and a projector. I never saw a PS2 in any of the shots.
Loved the movie, btw. I like Sandler so much better in his quirky, serious roles than his goofy movies.
