Go here to listen
Did it entirely in Garageband on my intel iMac 20". SO much easier and better than my last 2 CDs. I really thought I would have to get and learn Logic express, but other than a good EQ, it really did it all. The other 2 CDs here not done in GB. Between Kontak2 and GB, I'm pretty happy. I now need some good monitors. For a free program, WOW is all I can say.
In case you want to buy it, I linked to a special page with a sweet price. My first 2 CDs can be found on iTunes. My new one will be up there in a few weeks.
please let me know what you think.
I play all the instruments.
thanks for checking it out.

I like it. Are they all recordings or did you use any midi or pre-made loops?

I'm sure you are very talented, but about 3 samples of steel drum music is all I'm allowed in a month.

Not bad at all, SeSawaya. Really impressive that it's all GarageBand too.
I'm guessing you like tropical, short sleeve, button-up shirts too?

'There's only two kinds of guys who wear those shirts, gay guys and big, fat party animals...'
Steel drum players probably count as big, fat party animals, right?

Very nice! I'll have to dig out your first CD, out of storage, and add it to my iTunes library. It's good outdoor party music, on a nice sunny day!

thanks guys glad you like it. Yah everything is played live, no loops. I did use a few sounds from the jam packs and other sound libraries. If they just put a good EQ in there it could be a close runing for Logic, only it's about 1000x easier to use.
The only real sound in there throughout is the lead steel drum. I use a Trapkat and a Malletkat to trigger in the parts via midi. So the sounds coulnt be any better even on my real $6k marimba and $9k drumset!!!
I used Battery 3 for the drum set sounds that I played live into. I'm really a drummer that just so happens to play mallets pretty well. Thankfully my Pan playing is getting better since this is now what I do FULL TIME!!
cheers
Kent

The clips are great. Very good. It brings back great memories of 97 & 98 Fantasy Cruise.
One suggestion. Have you considered getting real samples. I noticed it sounded too clean. It wasn't that way on the islands. It's hard to describe, and I appolagize if my opinion is wrong.
Overall I loved them.

I guess I dont know what you mean by real samples. Everything you hear comes from real samples. Marimbas are real, drums, pans. What do mean?

no offense, but garageband isn't really suited for making webpages, maybe you should try a diff app
