Vet vs. croc

Chang's lower left arm was bitten off by the crocodile when he tried to pull a tranquilizer dart from the reptile's body. Two bullets were shot at the crocodile but it was unharmed. Chang went through emergency surgery to have his limb reattached.

I'd hate to be the one to try to get the hand out of its mouth.

Actually it would be even worse to be the guys whos hand is in the crocs mouth in the first place.

If they can do it with a penis I am sure they can do it with a hand. It won't work so well after but it is better than nothing.

Is it just me or would "Severed Hand of Chang Po-yu" make a good user name?

Also that arm will probably be significantly shorter because they'll have to cut away the mangled bits of both parts so they can have a clean cut to put together.

How do you view the story? The link in Eug’s post consistently brings me to a completely unrelated story about a tiger cub and its mommy in a Tokyo zoo?!?

Amazingly enough, my fiancee sent me this link earlier today: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,265502,00.html

Isn't she great?

Also, more pictures (of the croc): http://www.foxnews.com/photoessay/0,...36,00.html#7_0

She’s either great or trying to tell you something about your relationship...

Thanks for the link, though; this one actually works.

Hmmm... It seemed to be working before, but now it goes to the same tiger cub story for me too. I think they may have changed some of the pix around.

So, I changed the link for you.

Do it. For some reason it's not just the same under your new name.

Well, she survived a week with my mom and little sister and is still willing to go on a week-long hiking tour of Wales with my dad, so I'd say things are looking good.

Now it leads to a page about some Russian ex-minister sharing an apple with a bear instead

WTF? They are definitely changing the pix around. I guess they're just being randomized or something. So, I've just used that Fox News link instead.

P.S. From that article:

"Chen said the zoo purchased the crocodile from a local resident who had kept it as a pet."

Ya he is linking to the photo section which has a bunch of pages with random images. You can reach it eventually if you hit next though.

Best thing is the yahoo link I put above.

Does anyone remember "Romancing the Stone" ? I was around 11 when I saw it. I was kinda in shock for a few days after watching the crocodile scene.

Good fake picture. For reattachment, if it is a clean cut and the hand or fingers are kept on ice they can reattach them. The only thing is that people who underwent such an operation cannot smoke because smoking destroy veins and with a reattachment the veins are not in really good shape.

they attached a penis in place of someone's hand? That would be bad luck. Lose your hand and all they have available to put in place is a penis. Kinda like Captain Hook, but way more creepy. While that might prove popular with the ladies it sure would make for awkward introductions. I'm pretty open minded but I'm not going shake someone's surgically attched hand-penis when I first meet them.
Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!

Or they could hold it with their other hand.
