One more question. The mechanic said that there's a slim chance that it could just be the vacuum system or a hose or something, but they won't know until they actually take the gasket out and test it for cracks and stuff. That, of course, is the expensive part.

I wanted to get another opinion from you guys. They hooked up the pressurizer to the truck. It isn't losing pressure. Over a 24 hour period it only lost 2 lbs, that's apparently pretty normal. However, when they hooked up and opened the valve (thermostat?), instead of an immediate drop in pressure (I'm assuming that's when the coolent starts its rounds) it just built up more pressure. It started to top off at 15 pounds and lots of condensation was coming out of the tail pipe, so they turned it off because they didn't want to blow any seals or anything.

I would've assumed that if the head gasket was cracked or broken, that there would be a loss in pressure. Maybe I'm seeing this wrong. Anyway, that's what's happening. Any other thoughts?

Nevermind, I answered my own question with a Google search. A blown head gasket will cause rapid pressure buildup and bubbling in the radiator (which is what I have.)

So it would seem it's definitely a head gasket. Damn it to hell.

is it blowing smoke? how about oil floating in the top of your radiator?

pretty much any time you think is could be a head gasket, it is.

I think it's pretty clear that you have a tiny unicorn in your exhaust, jumping around poking holes and stuff, he's also sh*ting on your filters as well.

That'l be eight-thousand dollars, thank you very much.
