It will be used for mostly cable watching no games and rarely dvds. Should I go with LCD over plasma? Was thinking about this tv

http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Toshi...oductDetail.do

Is there one around that price that is better? I don't need 1080p 720p or 1080i is fine. Thanks in advance.

I just brought a Samsung 32" LCD love it.

SAMSUNG's Digital World - LCD TV | LN-T3253H

There are so many tv's to choose from. I want LCD cause they use less power and run cooler then plasma.

yeah the pic is nice with DVD the closest thing to SD I have watched.
It has a HD tuner in it so thats what I normally watch (live in Australia) so free to air is HD. Also have a nintendo Wii hooked up using component cables, look sweet.
It has has a VGA plug so I hooked up a average PC to play mpg's on it, works a treat.

The only thing I would say bad about it is that the internal speaker blows. So mainly use external speakers.

Very happy with it

I also have a Samsung 32" and am very happy. I have owned a Philips 32" LCD, a VIZIO 37" LCD and a 32" Sony Bravia, and the Samsung is my favorite by a good margin. The VIZIO (Costco brand) was dirt cheap and complete crap.
Paco is bitter about the loss of his .mac webpage. Image will return when his sadness lessens.
