Just beat me to it.

Too bad, I was thinking of pricing out a Mac mini or iMac.

Looks like the website is telling me to go to sleep...

Yes, next month, when Santa Rosa is released.

What IS Santa Rosa.

It's an odd name for a chip. What is it? Is it the next Generation Merom? Does it come before or after Penryn?

It is not a CPU. It's the chipset.

Right now the iMac chipset is capable of utilizing 3 GB RAM, with a 667 MHz FSB.

Santa Rosa can use much more RAM, with an 800 MHz FSB. It also has a much improved integrated GPU design.

So what chipset does Yonah/Merom/Penryn belong to? They're starting a brand new chipset already?

No, "Santa Rosa" means "Centrino Pro". "Penryn", "Merom", and "Conroe" mean "Core 2 Duo".

Do you believe the processor is the only thing in the computer or what? We've already said Santa Rosa is not a CPU, but a chipset onto which one can put a CPU.
