I put down some mulch in some of my flower beds, but it had nothing to do with it being "Earth Day."

What kind of wood is that?

I raked my back yard and planted grass seed, Like Railhead it had nothing to do with earthday. It was really the first nice weekend in boston and I wasn't going to let it go to waste.

It was a beautiful weekend here also.
I've since purchased more wood to construct 4 more.
They're going to a charity auction for a nature center.

I did a tree.

actually, I avoided the internet, tv, modern modes of transportation - and spent the day in the park with my girl.

By 6pm I caved, and had to check my email.

we went to earth day, got to see a cool animal show, the kid got to play a band with recycled instruments, and then we went home and planted flowers. I also futilely planted some grass seed. We'll see if it actually takes this year.

There's nothing I love more than spending several hours at a beach. Why are you in the Caribbean? You don't live there, do you?

Yes... I live in the Caribbean (although I'm a U.S. citizen) ... Trinidad & Tobago. Live in Trinidad but spend as much time as possible in Tobago. Here for a few weeks to enjoy the beaches. Plus the Plymouth Jazz Festival (the name is a misnomer as it really has nothing to do with jazz) is this weekend. Gonna be a great concert.

Took this yesterday:

It's still remains one my favorite models from the early 90s.

Of course, I find the ass end has a tendency to slide out on turn after you upgrade it to about 800 hp in Gran Tursimo.

I cut down about ten wrist sized trees, about a hundred finger sized trees and three mature ones.

How'd I do?

You could have done better if you just poured gas on them and lit them on fire

For Earth day, I did not run my AC at all. And it was 82, sunny and humid outside.

Go me.

I got up early on Saturday to help clean up the kinnickinnic river here in Milwaukee. I went last year, and pulled out trash/garbage/junk for most of the day, and in total, everybody pulled out over 12 tons of garbage.

This year, there was a bigger turnout. It's amazing how quickly a few hundred people can really improve things in such a short time. I worked from about 10-2pm, and the river went from horrible looking to pretty freaking awesome.

Here's a vid:

that's cool Rob. I had some friends do that for the Charles River here in MA this year. I fricking hate people who dump tires and shopping carts in rivers--my friend said she found like a hundred metal lunch trays. WTF?

It's usually homeless people that do that. The river would have been significantly cleaner had there not been a bunch of bums living nearby it.
