The geometric shapes on the stone were actually the shapes created from sound waves at a certain pitch. A father/son team took 27 years to crack the code.

Stuart Mitchell said he and his father were intrigued by 13 intricately carved angel musicians on the arches of the chapel and by 213 carved cubes depicting geometric-type patterns.

For some reason I get the feeling the first 26 years were wasted effort, and year 27 was, "Let's see what a computer can figure out!"
