I bought some memory that was 60% off. $150 for a 1 gb pc3200 stick of notebook memory, and it was for $60 after the markdown.

My notebook used to have 512, now im up to 1.25 gb

I'm only running XP, and I can already notice a difference, my webpages load faster, and my computer just screams. this is a blast!

yall need to get to compusa now for some good deals before they close out.

Well, the single CompUSA in Iowa isn't closing, so I'm out of luck.

Even at 60% off, compusa stuff is still overprice, maybe that is why they are shutting down a lot of their store

1Gb 60% markdow for low low price of $60

You can get 2Gb 2x1gb for $99 at Frys store today May 5
or you can try Neweggs for around 40's 1Gb
Do not settle for the world in shades of grey

Stuff I have gotten from CompUSA:

WoW Burning Crusade - $20
Drive + Play - $30
Aperture - $150

Stuff I have seen at CompUSA:
LaserJet 4000n - $125
Prey, Roller Coster Tycoon, both for Mac - $15 each
Logitech Z-10 speakers - $40

I think my CompUSA doesn't even know what they are selling anymore.

I need memory for my 24" iMac, but I'm confused if I have to get matched pairs, or if I can just buy a 1 gig and remove one 512 strip to have a total of 1.5 gigs of memory or what. 1 gig just isn't cutting it, especially when using final cut/imovie.

You don't need matched pairs in the iMacs. The 24" is expandable up to 3GB, but it only has two slots. If you order it from Apple, they put in a 1GB and a 2GB stick.

Just wondering if they are offering any 'deals' at their website?
