Although Master P admits he was once part of the problem and profited from explicit rap lyrics, he is now ready "to be part of the solution." While he doesn't expect "the entire industry to change overnight," Master P says, "There's too much negativity out there -- enough with the stereotypes. Hip-hop is a movement, and it is time for it to move forward." Word.

Apparently he and his son are starting a record label that will only accept artists that pledge to be role models, and money earned will go towards scholarships for underprivileged kids.

I think a big deal will be made out of anyone that signs onto the record and they'll be made a joke because of it. But I applaud his effort.

i actually met master p at the santa monica apple store a few years back. funny thing was nobody knew he was in the store till myself and another guy were pointing and tell our friends that master p was in the store, then after a clerk over heard me say it...i saw what must've been 3 store clerks at his beckoned call.

Yeah, I noticed that too! I was pretty surprised, but what I've heard of it sounds pretty good. I haven't gotten it yet. Anyone hear this album in full?

When I read 'clean' record label, I assumed it would be one that had nothing to do with the MAFIAA.

I have the album. It's really nice. Very good production across the board.
