<rant>My opinion - Apple is handling this situation very, very badly. I visit the iTunes store wanting to know if and when I can buy the DRM-free songs and there is absolutely nothing about it anywhere. Has it gone live yet? Is it coming soon? How can I find EMI tracks (you can't search for them)? There is nothing about it on the Apple iTunes website either. How are people who don't know to search for an obscure press release meant to find out about this? What is the planned date for these downloads to become available? Amazon announces they are going to do the same, but people reading that this is just a copy of the deal that Apple already has with EMI are not able to find anything out about it from Apple or the iTunes Store?? WTF </rant>
Until then, there are still other choices out there like Grooveshark.com and We7.com. Either way, at least Amazon and Apple are taking the right first steps.
