Audi, which trails BMW and Mercedes in the U. S. market by a good margin, apparently has decided it doesn't need the Canadian market either.

Well, any press is good press.

I rather like the idea. Better than yet another billboard. 50 of them might be a bit much though. And once the authorities let one company do it, more will follow.

Dumbest idea ever. The only thing that could happen from this is that people would get pissed off.

I have to agree with slpdLoad:

You've already got twenty-four views on this thread, and got people talking about the new Audi TT marketing campaign in Canada.

It's working already.

Does the campaign need more lens flares?

Perfect example of why you shouldn't hire a PR firm to do your advertising.

I'm so sick of those whiny Torontians. Why don't they join the separatist movement of Quebec and leave Canada.

Boo Fricken hoo. There are plenty of other things to be concerned about like homelessness, poverty, pollution and war.

Why don't they get up in arms about the genocide that happens from time to time in Africa?

The battle for ad-free space continues.

Good for Toronto!

That's a crazy generalization. A relatively small group of people in a given area objecting to one issue does not in any way imply that other people, or even the same people, in that same area do not object to other issues.

That said, as a proud left coaster, I'd just as soon never hear from or about Toronto again.

Audi had some good TV ad's, like the one for Q7 and the redesigned A4 few years back.
