Still the greatest movie trilogy around in my opinion (the original trilogy that is).

Great set of movies, the last trilogy is not as good, but does add to the whole storyline. I'm not starwars purest but I enjoyed the last set of flicks. I know amongst the dedicated people, they generally were critical of episodes I,II,III for various reasons. I liked them.

1977. I wasn't even born. My sister was there in-womb though. I got to see ROTJ when I was 3.

I wonder if there is someone out there that has every copy of every "release" Lucas has made.
There has to be like 20 different "special additions"

Thats so weird, I rented Empire strikes back last night, I have no idea why, just a strange compulsion.
Have never rented a Star Wars movie before.

Nope. Much more than that.
My friend Josh Ling (google him) and I started compiling a list of the differences of the movies. We stopped. Our brains hurt. The differences are so many it would make your head spin.

Star Wars is the first movie I can remember ever watching. I was about 4, family living in St. Louis. I've probably seen it 50 times since.
Star Wars and the Rocky series...

They made a 30th Star Wars movie? Oh God, where am I? What year is this?

"Star Wars" was released about a week before I graduated from high school. I saw it the day after graduation. I was changed, mainly because I saw that SF movies could have GOOD effects that didn't look like two 15 year olds held Revel models with fishing line in front of their dad's 8mm movie camera. Corny story and all, SW is wonderful, and every time I see that Star Destroyer glide overhead, I feel like I'm a kid again.
