I'm looking for a sound that I can bring into iMovie that sound like the record stopped.

I know that makes no sense. But, try this...

A group is standing there and club music is playing. (bass-bass-bass-bass-bass-bass)
Then a hot girl or some bad ass walks in and it's the sound like the needle squeaked across the record and the music stops.

Maybe I could create this?

You'd think it would be easier...

You only need the bass music and the record stopping sound, you should be able to google (or create) those sounds and then put them together?

Here's a needle coming across a record to an abrubt stop:

(I use Audio Hijack for sourcing music online if you want to avoid registering on this link.)

What bass music do you want? (Could always head to your local Music store?)

I can probably just use some bass out of Garage Band, it's the scratch I need. I don't have Audio Hijack. Let me see if I can hear this somehow....

Thanks.

Jono, it's perfect. I knew alternate searchers could help. All I could find was DJ scaratches. Thanks!

In Safari:

Windows --> Activity --> Find the correct window, click disclosure triangle, and find the scratch_preview.mp3.

Option-double-click to download it.
