I remember watching it sometime in the 80's. It was set in late 1939 early 1940 during the "Phony War" when war was declared but prior to the german conquest of france. It was about a group of british spitfire pilots and how they handled the boredom prior to actual hostilities and then the intense combat during the battle of britain. I thought it was a PBS mini-series but I can't find any reference to it and I haven't seen it since. I'd like to see it again..any ideas? Or is it just under my nose....
