Justgiving - Lizard (to Lands End) To John O' Groats
In June and July this year, I'll finally be doing the much-talked-about end to end on two wheels. The record timing is just over 41 hours for a distance of about 850 miles... but we'll be taking our time and won't exactly be taking the shortest of routes! We'll be starting from the southerly-most point in England, Lizard Point in Cornwall, warming up towards Lands End and then turning north up to and through the Welsh borders. We'll skirt through Liverpool, then through the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, past Carlisle and over to Edinburgh and the Scottish hills until we can't cycle any further at John O Groats!

Why am I supporting Parkinson's? My US grandfather continues to fight a daily battle with Parkinson's - he was an Naval Architect, an excellent artist and probably a major reason for any creative and engineering streak I have.

Just to clarify, it isn't me, but a good friend of mine - please feel generous

a little off topic...
my mom biked (not as much as she wanted) US 2 across the top of the United States back in 2001; Everett WA to St Ignace MI was the goal. she started the trip just after turning 60 a few weeks before. she had a few setbacks and in total, only biked about 700 miles of the trip and while not doing exactly what her goal was, everyone was still pretty impressed. it had nothing to do with a charity...it was something she just wanted to do.
