Why are many of Apple's links currently being shown with trailing dots? Look at the links and you'll see a dot after com: http://www.apple.com./ What gives?

Very interesting. I've never seen that before. How recent is the change? and what does it imply???? Interesting.

What's more likely to be going on is that you typed in apple.com. by mistake. Since most sites use relative links, you see apple.com. for everything instead. I just tried this by going to cnn.com. and now all links there have the extra dot.

Upon further review... I don't see it except in your link. When I go to the Apple site, it loads as .com/ Strange.

Guess: According to DNS spec, the trailing dot is supposed to be there but for ease, the spec also allows a short form without the dot (basically with the dot masked out but still there).
