I tell you what, Colbert absolutely embarrassed a rep from Washington last night. It was pretty awkward for him.

I remember a late night interview with The Clash many, many years ago that was painful. They were surley, and would hardly talk at all. The only quote I can remember was "All Americans care about is geting the chords right." I think that might have been the longest sentence in the whole interview.

I thought he did a mean Johnny Depp in "Epic Movie." Truly one of the redeeming qualities of that movie.

How about that MTV interview with Axle Rose and Slash where Slash is (of course) passed out in his chair, and Rose has some bent up anger for some reason. The host makes the mistake of telling Axle to go ahead and let his anger out, so he gets up and starts tearing up the whole set. Slash doesn't know what's going on, he's half out anyway, so he just stands up and starts tearing sh*t up, too.
30 seconds later the entire set is destroyed.
Wasn't much of an interview, but it was funny as hell.

Hope I can find it. It was on one of those VH1 shows, Behind the Music on Guns n' Roses.

Usually said by people that usually can't play well. Self defense mechanisms.

Actually it was Darrell Hammond of SNL fame.

Well everyone has been condescending to a point so. But it's the truth. Most "anti know how to play" guys I know are so because they can't play. So they want to make it seem like it's COOL to not be able to play.
Yet, some girl who gets up on stage and lipsinks to her song is a poser...
Getting up on stage and pretending you know how to play a instrument you are holding is no different.
Being able to play barr chords on a guitar is the only requirement in this day in age now to be able to call yourself a guitar player.
Dowtune to drop d and you don't even have to learn that.
