wmvy has a great online service. Besides a nice selection of music, and on air guests doing live stuff, they seem to have a great music background, educating while spinning great sounding tunes. I believe they are first in the nation to split their station into two parts. The airwaves part is traditional commercially sponsored, while the internet part is taking from public radio where they are listener sponsored. The split I believe is to overcome the upcoming expense of paying more for the internet tunes.

For the past two years now, I have been listening to 90.9 SeaFM out of Australia as a change of pace to the American dribble I'm used to. Grant most of what they play are American pop artist which really isn't my prefered genre. Truth be told I mostly like because of the commercials in the Australian accent (Which is funny because the commercials are what I hated about the american radio)

Anyhow, what are some of your favorite online stations (preferable non US) that you like that I (and maybe others) might like. I'll listen to pretty much anything, though rock/heavy metal are prefered.
What, me worry?

Thanks for the reply, but there's a link to that right in iTunes, I'm looking for something maybe a hair more .... exotic. Although I am a fan of NPR via Vermont Public radio

Pandora Radio - Listen to Free Internet Radio, Find New Music

It takes your suggestions of songs and artist you like and finds similar.

I'm from MN and generally pro-'hota. I like NPR and have listened to many affliates around the country.

Of these, MPR has got to be the worst. They always interrupt the national programing to tell me what the temperature is in Wilmar. Or have some story about birchbark in Warroad. Or something sanctimonious.

Jesus.
